I'm a huge fan of comic book & comic book films. Especially Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight Trilogy". It gave a glimpse of why Batman is so beloved to his fans. In a medium where men can fly, women have a lasso that tells the truth, power beyond imagination - The Batman is just a rich man with mental health issues & an armory.
A lot of people want to see what would happen if the story would continue. If Robin John Blake would successfully be able to take on the mantle of Batman or maybe take up another name such as Nightwing. Robin John Blake is a cross between many characters from the comics. He has the name John Blake from a one shot character John Blake. But his personality & history seems to be a mix of Dick Grayson (first Robin/Nightwing) & Tim Drake (third robin/Red Robin).
Robin seems to have the detective skills to take up the mantle of Batman, assuming that a lot of the Bat-Gadgets were left to him as well. But the main issue would be when it came to combat. Bruce Wayne was trained by Ra's al Ghul & The League of Shadows. So to go along with his mental illnesses, he was a ninja. John Blake never had that training & couldn't receive it from Bruce since he's "dead." The good thing about that is Ra's al Ghul & Bane are dead, so the ones who even posed a threat to Bruce are gone.
Batman's rogues gallery is the best in comics. So John Blake could go up against the crime Boss Oswald Cobblepot (the penguin). Maybe a realistic version of Poison Ivy, which seems like Christina Hendricks or even Alexandra Breckenridge would be able to slide into. What about less known villains like The Mad Hatter.
There is room for the Dark Knight Legacy to go on. But is there a point?
What more can really be said? The Dark Knight Trilogy has a beginning & end. As much as I loved this trilogy, a part of me thinks it should stay where it is. At one point in time I wanted a Ra's al Ghul prequel starring Liam Neeson, but TAKEN & TDKR seem to have that covered.
